EMAX success at C1 Euro Cup at Portimão

EMAX Motorsport competed at C1 Eurocup Portimão 24-hour race in December fielding five cars, one in the Belgian class, two in the Danish and two in the UK Class.

This annual endurance event held at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal brought some excellent racing throughout the 24hrs on what was a very competitive grid.

Whilst the team battled through some mechanical issues with car number 75 it was a great effort from the whole team to get all the cars to the end of the race, though it did get tense towards the end of the race when car 488 rolled at turn 2 and 75 suffered overheating and damage which required a replacement rad.

488 was repaired and got back out on the circuit to finish the race and with a great result.

The best result however was reserved for car 275, the EMAX mechanics car which was driven by the crew whilst servicing and working during the race where they finished 3rd in the Belgian class achieving a podium along with 488 who were also 3rd in class.

The results were as follows for the team:
458 - AutoUna 1 - 5th in DK Class - 20th overall
488 - AutoUna 2 - 3rd in DK Class - 11th overall
275 - EMAX Motorsport - 3rd in BE Class - 8th overall
470 - Spy Motorsport - 4th in UK Class - 10th overall
75 - EMAX Motorsport - 8th in UK Class - 30th overall
